Marie-Christine Fregin is an external PhD candidate at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA) at Maastricht University. She completed the Master’s programme in Sociology, Political Science and Geography at the University of Tuebingen. Her main research interests focus on skills and labour market matching. In her current work, she is investigating causes and consequences of skill mismatches. Furthermore, she is a researcher and scientific consultant at INPUT Consulting gGmbH in Stuttgart, Germany, where she currently investigates and develops new ways of (digital) work in German utility companies. The research and development project is related to the Digitalisation of the German Energiewende and funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF, link to the project page: www.aktiv-kommunal.de).
